Sometimes you reach a point where you have to look at yourself honestly. Where do your strengths lie? And where not?

Three years ago I entered the world of lead management systems. My first encounter with David Pilo, CEO of Walcu, immediately felt right. Not only did a business collaboration emerge, but also a personal bond. The idea was clear: introduce Walcu in the Benelux. Not just implementing a system, but building a platform that truly fits the independent automotive companies here.

Let’s be honest. The Dutch market is not an easy market. We set high demands for lead follow-up. For speed. For measurability. For integrations. For transparency. The level here is simply higher than in many other countries.

Together with our team, we have further developed Walcu into a system that aligns with that. Real-time valuation via Hexon and Autotelex. A native integration with Marktplaats, where the customer simply remains in the app while the dealership works from Walcu. Integrations with Novaco, Calldrip, and AI agents optimizing the system. These are not small improvements. This is platform maturity.

I use Walcu myself daily in my store in Doesburg. I test. I pilot. I improve from practice. And I will continue to do so.

But along the way I discovered something else. Selling a lead management system is one thing. Supporting and scaling it is another. That requires structure and capacity. The question arose: does this belong to #DCDW?

The answer became clear.

Our role is connecting, promoting, testing and improving—not fully operating a software organization. After discussions with David we concluded: Walcu is growing and needs a different structure: Walcu Benelux.

Walcu Benelux is now an independent company focused on growth, support and professionalization in the Netherlands and Belgium. Led by Arnout van Rozen, who brings 15 years of automotive and IT experience. From workshop to dealership operations—he knows the field and processes and now applies that in the digital showroom.

Walcu was represented by #DCDW. That chapter ends here. Walcu Benelux stands on its own.

And me? I remain a user, supporter, and ambassador.
